The staff of the Association for the Protection of Children with Diabetes actively participates in both local and international educational-scientific events. In particular, for the last 25 years, the staff of the Association has participated in all the congresses of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the European Association (EASD). Numerous dozens of scientific topics (both oral reports and stand posters) have been submitted to the above-mentioned scientific forums, which have been published as scientific papers. It is noteworthy that many of them have earned high marks in world-renowned science. Examples include the World Congress of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) in Montreal, Canada, in November 2009. Scientific papers on the use of insulin analogues and the optimization of physical activity in diabetic children and adolescents as well as their optimization of physical activity. These reports were highly appreciated by these specialists, which were specially mentioned in the summary document of the congress. This should be considered the greatest success of our science. The Association will continue to actively pursue the development of its staff, which is directly related to the provision of highly qualified care to diabetic patients.                                  

   Two international conferences organized and held by the Association are worth mentioning. In Tbilisi.

The first was held in 2003. On May 6, the Marriott Hotel in Tbilisi was dedicated to current issues in endocrinology. Leading specialists from both foreign and Georgia presented their reports.

The second conference was dedicated to pediatric diabetes and it was held in 2013. April 13-14 at the Center for Diabetic Children. The latter became traditional and was called the "Tbilisi International Conference of Pediatric Endocrinologists". Delegations from seven countries took part in the event. Both conferences were held with the support and funding of the Danish company Novo Nordisk.

2016 On November 13, in connection with the 25th anniversary of the Association, with the participation of leading specialists invited from abroad, the Association held a training-scientific seminar for doctors-endocrinologists in the assembly hall of the State Medical University.
