On the basis of the Association for the Protection of Children with Diabetes, the Diabetes Training Center was established in 2001 with the support of the company "Novo-Nordisk". The training programs of the center are designed for doctors of different profiles, nurses, diabetic patients and their family members. The program is based on the methodological recommendations of the World Health Organization, the training programs of the Danish "Steno" International Center for Physician Training and Education and the company "Novo-Nordisk" Eastern Europe Diabetes Training Center, the recommendations of the EASD and IDF. The teaching also uses its own materials, based on the National Diabetes Registry created by the Association for the Protection of Children with Diabetes, which has been tested in practice to prove that it can be used to conduct multidisciplinary epidemiological analysis. • Teaching modern aspects of type 2 diabetes, mono- and combination insulin therapy.

• Getting acquainted with the organization and development prospects of diabetic care in Georgia.

Medical-social aspects of diabetes, legislation. The duration of the program is 5 days.
