Education:

Georgian Technical University, Faculty of Engineering and Physics, 1976.

Postgraduate studies at the Moscow Physical-Technical Institute (1980-1984), doctoral studies (1987-94). 

Scientific degree and rank:

Doctor of Chemistry, Professor.

1985 He defended his PhD dissertation and was awarded the scientific degree of Candidate of Chemistry. 

1995 He defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Optimization of Chromatographic Studies" and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Chemistry.

Special Design Bureau Engineer 1976-78;

Junior, Senior, Leading and Chief Researcher of the Institute of Physical and Organic Chemistry of Tbilisi State University, Head of the Laboratory;

Founder of computer chemistry in Georgia and head of the laboratory of the same name since 1978; 2006 Scientist - Consultant.

Physical chemistry, in particular, the optimization of chromatographic studies;

Experiment automation, computer data processing, mathematical modeling of sorption processes;

Founder and President of one of the first non-governmental organizations in Georgia "Association for the Protection of Children with Diabetes" (1990-2021);

Founder and President of the Georgian Diabetes Foundation since 2021.

Member of the International Diabetes Federation and the European Association;

In 2001 he was awarded the Order of Merit for his outstanding contribution to the treatment of children and adolescents with diabetes in Georgia, their significant contribution to the provision of insulin, and fruitful charitable and community activities.

He speaks Georgian, Russian and German.
